Training and Dues
The FC Alliance 94B Soccer Team through the FC Alliance Soccer Club belongs to the regional sanctioning organization, the Tennessee State Soccer Association which is the next level in a chain of organizations that ultimately ends with the national body, United States Boys Soccer Federation (USYSF). This affiliation gives the team access to training material, clinics and courses for coaches and players. There are costs incurred for our membership as well as participation.
Coaching
Various levels of training are available for coaching licenses qualifying them for different levels of play. 2007 marked the entrance of FC Alliance 94B into Division I soccer. This is the highest level of competitive soccer in amateur leagues. A highly certified and new coach was needed to further develop the player’s skills and knowledge of the game as well as to allow the team to play at this higher level. Coach Helio D’Anna graciously accepted FC Alliance's invitation to take the helm. Coach Helio D’Anna or simply Coach “L” is also the head coach of the Lincoln Memorial University soccer program. In his years of coaching D’Anna has posted an overall winning record of 167-95-16. The remarkable technical proficiency of FC Alliance 94B remains a legacy of Coach L's work with the team.
Jon Schneider took the reigns of FC Alliance 94 in Dec. of 2008. He is the Director of Coaching for the FC Alliance Soccer Club. He has over two decades ofdistinguished coaching experience. After playing with nationally ranked Andrew Jr. College and Tennessee Wesleyan, he was the Assistant Coach at Carson-Newman College, Director of Coaching for Kingsport Youth Soccer Association, Assistant Coach at Milligan College, and a Staff Coach for Club Columbine (Colorado). In 2004, Jon was named TSSA Boys' Competitive Coach of the Year. Formerly on the coaching staff for the Tennessee Olympic Development Program, he is a USSF "B" licensed coach and holds a NSCAA Advanced National coaching diploma.
- Keeping Participation Costs Low
Our main goal is to keep the sport affordable for the players and families. Although the cost per season is competitive with other sports in our region, soccer is a multi-season sport with year-round training. This makes soccer more expensive to a family on an annual basis. Competition teams can spend on average, $3,000 a year traveling to and competing in tournaments throughout the nation. This cost is almost doubled for teams like FC Alliance 94b that make it to the state championship level. Our sponsors make an enormous contribution to the boys of our communities by making this possible and help us keep soccer an affordable sport for our families
- Scholarships
Each season FC Alliance holds open try outs and strives to assess players solely on their athletic ability. The FC Alliance Soccer Team has a long tradition of including young athletes whose family finances might not otherwise allow.
Corporate sponsorship helps FC Alliance maintain its commitment to community and its young athletes.
